Motorola Defy Specs
Motorola Defy is powered by TI OMAP3610 800MHz processor and uses the Android OS 2.1 platform which can be upgraded to 2.2. We found the OS to be slightly outdated as compared to 2.2 and something which needs to be improved upon, especially when the demand for Android handsets have witnessed massive rise of late. One can store large call details, thanks to the 2GB internal memory storage capacity. The memory can be increased to 32GB with the help of a microSD card. Some of the other technical specifications of the phone are
* Alert Types: Vibration;MP3 WAV ringtones
* Speakerphone: Yes
* Games: Yes, + downloadable
* CPU: TI OMAP3610 800MHz processor
Motorola Defy Connectivity and Networking
Buyers look for smartphones which offers them robust connectivity and networking facilities since the phones are an alternative to your desktops and laptops which you cannot carry all the time. Connectivity and networking is seamless with Motorola Defy with the phone supporting both 2G (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) 3G (HSDPA 900 / 2100) networks.
There is also support GPRS (Class 12 4+1/3+2/2+3/1+4 slots), EDGE (Class 12) and Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n). There is infrared port, but you will not complain about it since the phone is equipped with Bluetooth 2.1 along with A2DP profile. Browser quality in the phone is highly impressive, thanks to flash support.
Motorola Defy Multimedia
Defy comes with a FM radio with RDS whose user interface is quite simple and easy to operate. You can save as many as 10 of your favorite radio stations. But there is no option to play the radio on the loudspeaker. The video player of the phone is simple and attractive. We were slightly disappointed to find to find out that higher resolution videos needing more processing power than the phone can offer.
Motorola Defy Camera
The phone is equipped with a 5 mega-pixel camera which lets you snap pictures of resolution 2592х1944 pixels. The camera is equipped with auto-focus and LED flash. But we were depressed to find that in spite having flash support, picture quality was not great in dim light. Video offering is also not too great either. You can record videos@ 30 fps.

The phone was announced in September 2010 and was released in October 2010.
Motorola Defy Battery
The phone is equipped with a standard Li-Po 1540 mAh battery which offers a talk time of nearly 6 hours and a stand by time of nearly 200 hours.
